The site is located at 23 Burgh Hall Street and extends to 0.16 hectares. The site is currently occupied by a single-storey red brick and harled render warehouse, it is proposed that this will be demolished.
Burgh Hall Street bounds the site to the north with Dumbarton Road to the south and the elevated railway line to the west. An adjacent two storey surgery occupies the corner of the block at Peel Street to the east creating an L-shaped site. The local vicinity is characterised by a mix of 3 storey traditional tenements and 4 – 6 storey modern flats.
The site is approximately 4 miles west of Glasgow City Centre and is within walking distance of key services and facilities in Partick.
Partick Interchange is located 150 metres from the site, where frequent train, bus and subway services are available.
It is proposed that the existing building at 23 Burgh Hall Street is demolished and a flatted residential development of 35 units be erected on the site.
The Burgh Hall Street proposals will provide:
- An opportunity for sustainable development.
- A high-quality residential development within walking distance of key services and facilities.
- A carefully considered design approach, in keeping with the character of the local area and maintain building lines.
- A car free development which is highly accessible to public transport options at Partick Interchange.
